About Marty Gniech

Live event painter and fine artist based in Illinois

Marty Gniech is a live event painter and fine artist based in Illinois, specializing in capturing meaningful moments as they unfold. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting from Bradley University, Marty combines formal artistic training with years of hands-on experience to bring depth, precision, and presence to every canvas.

Over the past several years, Marty has created live paintings for galas, award ceremonies, concerts, festivals, schools, and community events throughout the Midwest. His work has been featured at the Egyptian Theatre, NIU's Homecoming Parade, the Burning Cicada Music Festival, and regional fundraising events where finished pieces were auctioned or raffled to support local organizations.

In addition to live events, Marty has completed public murals — including work for the Conservation Foundation's "Art of the Fox" project — as well as custom installations in downtown Chicago and beyond. His portrait and pet commissions are held in private collections throughout the region. His artwork has been exhibited in solo shows, featured in local publications, and is displayed at the Glidden Homestead Museum.

Whether painting on stage during a live performance or quietly capturing a meaningful moment at a private celebration, Marty is known for his calm presence, professionalism, and ability to integrate seamlessly into any setting. Each piece is created with intention, transforming a fleeting experience into a lasting, one-of-a-kind work of art.

Through Gniech Goods, Marty continues to expand his live painting work into weddings, corporate events, and large-scale collaborations — building a creative brand centered on craftsmanship, connection, and experience.
